This 126 was first registered on the 24th of May, 1977 to Sister Maria Grazia L'Episcopo, a nun who worked at the OASI Institute in Troina, Sicily, with the license plate EN53187, according to its original Italian registration booklet pictured in the gallery. Upon her death in 2017, ownership was transferred to her niece who reportedly never drove it and kept it in the same garage it lived in since 1977 until she sold it to the seller in 2025.

The odometer shows just 3,024 kilometers, which the seller believes to be original along with its Blu Adriatico paint and black leatherette seats. A service invoice from earlier this year provided in the gallery shows the car received a brake refresh, a new battery, a carburetor rebuild, the gear shift bushing was replaced, and more. The car comes with a spare tire, tool kit, original Fiat factory literature, import paperwork, and a clean Connecticut title.

Coming after the iconic 500 and before its more modern iterations, the 126 represents Fiat's last rear-engine and rear wheel drive car. The 126 featured comfort and safety innovations over its predecessor and modernized it with a synchronized four speed transmission (except first gear). This second series wears the "Personal 4" trim that came with new plastic bumpers and matching side trim as well as a wider rear seat.
